If you found your testicles were stuck in a vice. I think it'd be acceptable to panic!

Of course there are times when you just have to panic.
1. Your lost in the back hills. There is a pig screaming.
2. You look out the window and something very tall is looking back.
3. One of the kids calls and it is not good.
Of course panicking at that very moment may be the wrong emotion but I panic inside and later fall into a heap.

Panic is a sign that your brain is confused and trying to fire out various commands at one time in order to solve a situation. That's never good. However, adrenalin can be useful in order to apply oneself more to a problem, so long as the mind has a clear idea what it's doing and why.

When somebody gouges out your eyes.

Or sticks an Ice pick in your ear

Or when the girl you love dumps you on your wedding day and it turns out she's a lesbian

When the Government decides to take you away

When you're in a psyche ward and your roommate plays "My Humps" on his stereo all night at deafening levels (trust me, this one sucks)

When you're stranded in the desert and somebody comes and throws a cactus at you then disappears

When you're like those dudes in Greek mythology and you have to push a bolder up the hill but it rolls back down, when you reach down to get water and it goes down, and when you reach up to get fruit the tree grows taller, or when you get your liver pecked out by a vulture every day and have it grow back in.

When you're at a concert and some girl comes and punches you in the eye REALLY HARD for no reason at all

All those things are perfect times to loose your cool

You can loose your cool and panic all you want to, just remember what effect it has on people round you though, its usually better to count to 10 and stay calm.
