If I had a week with nothing to do I'd catch up on my reading. I'd put a lawn chair in the back yard, grab a drink, and go through the stack of books I still have. The weather is supposed to be nice this week (except maybe Thursday).

if you're looking for things to do in houston, try:
the houston zoo
the miller outdoor theater, free live performances
the museum district. (art, science, history)
the rodeo
check out events at the cynthia woods mitchell pavilion or toyota center
the moody gardens in galveston
the kemah board walk
herman park
bayou place (downtown, theater district) by the aquarium restaurant
and yes, if you like to shop the galleria is our largest mall.
the best place to be in tx for spring break is south padre island.

go to kemah, the Galleria mall, the "main strip" in downtown houston for clubs (we card), go to moutasia for go-kart riding. Eat at P. F. Changs in Highland Village for good chinese. Visit NASA. go have a picnic in memorial park at sunset. the view is gorgeous. go bowl for cheap at U of H in the UC. have breakfast at the breakfast club.

as far as what the first guy said, i have been there on a few occasions (visiting relatives) and never seen any kind of violence or crimes, so i wouldnt worry about that
and ya, the mall is fairly big, if you like to shop

go to the galleria if you like to shop. it has the best stores and its in the middle of everything. go to herman park if you have kids. herman park is in the middle of a museum district and they have interesting stuff there. remember to bring shorts. it gets pretty hot down here

Hi,, i suggest you go to Galveston beach ,,,, if you stay in Houston you will be busy trying to keep from being robbed and or raped..
