Fantasy is all but dead.
It's all the same contrived plotlines, I grow tired of the hero's quest, technopunk, post-apocolytic worlds, and elves.
Really, Eragon is all that is wrong with Fantasy, it's a rip-off of Star Wars, with Tolkien's Orcs, Elves, and Dwarves, and even lame dragons thrown in for good measure. The writing is terrible, and the author felt compelled to throw in every single fantasy cliche he could find. It's so awful.
Fantasy is all about imagination, so where is it?

There is always a need for translations of books published in other countries, especially in developing countries. For example, I never read a book written by a Malaysian writer.

I really don't think there are many gaps. I think everything is covered pretty well.

In my opinion, modern poetry anthologies, good ones anyway, are sadly lacking.
