how do i save a picture to a cd?

i put in a blank cd and tried to open it
it says "please insert a disk into drive E:"
i dont have a program to upload them either
is there a free one?

if your running xp simply right click on the picture and send to the cdrw drive a popup will apper in your task bar telling you that their are files waiting to be burnt , or use a burning software program such as NERO

Sound like you are simply using the wrong type of disk. Ensure that you place it into you disk burning drive and that you are using a disk of:

Cd-R or CD-RW
