I always thought that the movie was blocked until you order that channel (HBO, Starz, w/e) and then you can watch the free movies on demand. But I clicked on a movie that said "free with subscription" and it started playing, will I get charged for it or was it really "free"? Usually when you order a movie it says something like "$3.99 will be charged on your bill, are you sure you want to order this?"

Comcast on demand works this way. On demand has basic and extended cable. This is referred to as a subscription. You have in the on demand section, free movies. Those are essentially movies that are shown on regular channels as well as movies that have been out for sometime and are not being broadcast on the digital subscription channels such as the ones you listed.
Therefore, those movies are free to you to view. You will not be charged a fee.If you have other questions about on demand, in the on demand section you have help and services and it gives you an explanation.

I work for comcast and the terms "free with paid subscription" means that if you were subscribed to HBO/Cinemax lets say and you see a show or movie under their On Demand channels. It's free to watch it for you since you're subscribed to those channels. However if you were to watch a show under lets say Starz and you're not subscribed to that channel you would be charged for it. The exception is however if there is a free preview going on for that channel. Then it'll be free!! Hope this helps. If all else fails and you get charged for it call the billing department explain it to them and they'll credit you. I would :)!

Comcast has movies on demand that are free. If you subscribe to hbo, then you get all the hbo on demand movies free. Only pay-per-view, adult, and disney classics cost $3.99. If you don't subscribe to hbo, don't watch hbo on demand. But you can go under the free movies on demand and watch them for free.

"Free with subscription" means it will cost nothing extra if you subscribe to the channel or package with the channel where the program ordinarily airs. If you do not subscribe to that channel/package, there might be a per episode cost, but it should indicate what that cost is.

You would have to subscribe to X (X being some plan or series of channels) to get this movie for free. If you already subscribe to X, you'll have it free.

nope there not blocked but if you have that channel then with on demand its free, and if you don't have that channel, then you have 2pay 2 watch it
