France recently had what in the US might be called "race" riots in some suburbs of Paris, where largely-Islamic Algerian nationals (Algeria was once a colony of France) protested against their living conditions. Many said the riots were Islamic in nature, but the reality is that they are largely class-oriented, because most Islamic immigrants live in poor conditions. However, recently France (and some other European nations) have begun to limit certain protections to Islamic nationals, perhaps as backlash to what they fear might be a growing Fundamentalism.
France and Germany are the two largest backers of Airbus, the European airline manufacturing consortium. The company has had economic problems of late because of setbacks on its Airbus 380 plane (the largest passenger plane ever). A number of contracts with airline companies have either been cancelled or are in danger.
-France, like many other socialist democracies, has struggled with the issue of privatization of national firms. Unlike the US, where business and government are separate (at least, businesses aren't owned by government), many firms in France are owned by the government. As a result, analysts say, these firms are less efficient than their American counterparts. France helps subsidize many of its industries as well. The effect f these subsidies is that the "market" doesn't always operate freely, and slow and unproductive economic sectors continue to suck money away from more productive sectors.

the problem with france is they can not finish any thing they start they built the efial tower with the idea that it was temporary and would be torwn down but that never happened .they went to panama to build the canal and were chased off by bugs then they went to vietnam and started a war !and then left .look threw history u will find that usa fixed thier fawk ups
