i tend to wash my daughters clothes in the sink first with soap powder by hand, if thats no good, i rub a little stain remover into the stain and leave to soak for a while, then put them in the washing machine with the other clothes, (she's 19 months old and discovered how to jump in muddy puddles)

You need to use a Bio washing powder rather than non bio. Also chuck in a scoop of Vanish Oxi Action with the wash. Wash it at 60 degrees if the fabric will allow.

many people just want to lazy it out with out putting any stain remover or scrubbing and just putting it in the washing machine....just put some stain remover....(oxyclean works well ) and then let it sit and put it in the wash...but what works best is washing it in a sink with a brush but dont rub the stains in......also i got mud on my sneaker laces and a powerwasher got the stain out in a second....so it depends on how much time you have and how much you want the stain to get out....

most detergents today can do the job.what you probably need to do is to rub a bit of the detergent directly on the stained part before putting in in the washing machine. Good Luck :)

Rinse by hand in cold water, then leave to soak overnight in a solution of washing powder and water.
Then wash as normal in machine.

Have you tried spraying with Shout it out. Leave it set in over night. Wash again.
