My daughter did not get her first tooth until she was 10 months old. I asked the doctor about it constantly, and she told me that as long as they have some by the time they are a year that they'll be fine. Don't worry.

Every child is different and some begin teething as early as 6-8 weeks old with their first tooth appearing at between 3months to 1year. The average is about 9 months old, so it is OK that your baby has not yet got teeth. Both my girls first tooth came out at 5 months, they both began teething at 8 weeks.

All babies grow and devolope at differant rates. Some don't start getting teeth untill they are a year old. It doesn't mean their is anything wrong. Some crawl sooner some crawl later. Some are walking by 8 months, some when they are a year or a couple of months older. The same when they start talking. It all takes time, it just depends on the child, and how their body developes. It doesn't make one smarter than the other or stronger than the other, it's just nature.

Mine did not get her first til over 8 months. she is now almost 11 months and only has the bottom 2.
Don't worry. I was always told that the longer it takes for the teeth to come in, the healthier the teeth will be.

My first daughter got her first at 11 months and her second at 12months. Usually having their teeth a little later means stronger baby teeth! Well that is only if they don't get in the habit of falling asleep with a bottle. Their gums are strong and hard enough to eat pratically everything! My second daughter is now 9 months and still no teeth!
Count yourself lucky especially if you are still breastfeeding!

My daughter was 9 1/2 months old and my son started cutting his first tooth on his first birthday. Don't worry, they will come. The longer it takes the better, is what I was told.

I think they can come at any time, every baby is different. My son has just turned 1 and still no teeth, the pediatrician isn't worried about it at the moment.
