In the current issue of the New Yorker, Seymour Hersh makes a strong case that the Bush administration is channeling funds to Al Qaeda in the belief that they will fight Hezbollah, which is Sunni, in Lebanon. Kinda reminds me of the Iran-Contra fiasco. Is is possible we are revisiting another deja vu (e.g., Vietgnam/Iraq) with this crowd?

Sorry, Hezbollah are Shia, while Al Qaeda are Sunni, which is why there is a belief that Al Qaeda will do this fighting, in Lebanon, for us.

No WAY! Why listen to him????? He is only an American Pulitzer Prize winning investigative journalist and author based in Washington, DC. Although he is a regular contributor to The New Yorker magazine on military and security matters, he is nothing but LIES. Go Dubya - we must follow the anti-christ instead!!!!

Use this link. On this one, I believe Hersh is right. This link will take you to an interview at CN8 in New Jersey. These men were former terrorists who are now practicing tolerance. They will tell you where the money is coming from...and where the terrorists are being bred. What can be done? Not too much right now because unfortunately for the US government, the ACLU would get involved. That's agency and the political correctness issues will be the demise of this country.

Interview is about 15 minutes, but I can't tell you what an education I got from it.

It wouldn't surprise me.
Al Qaeda was set up in the 1980s by the CIA when bin Laden was fighting the Russians in Afghanistan.
They must still have some useful contacts.

Hersh has made a pretty good living writing stories that appeal to certain groups of people even if he bases them on the fact that he wants to appeal to a certain group of people.
