Hi, im 15 years of age and i was doing some black spray painting on wood for my school science project. I tried to cover my mouth while i sprayed it but the smell was so nasty and strong. Now its all over the house because i brought the wood in but i took it out just now. Will the smell of the paint have any harm to my health? I been breathing the smell for more then 3 hours waiting for it to dry.

Nausea, headaches and sleepiness if you're only smelling it. If you're intentionally inhaling it, brain damage and death are not uncommon. Next time, use the spray only in a well-ventilated area and keep the painted objects outdoors until the smell has dissipated. Don't expose any petrs to fresh paint spmell as you'll do them irreparable harm (you'll probably even kill a bird!)

The symptoms from paint smell after the act are mostly psychosomatic. Ventilate the house for a few hours. The two bucks worth of heat you waste isn't worth having to smell the stuff. The paint will continue to outgas while it cures for several days.
The main thing to worry about is breathing it directly while you're painting. That caution label on the can that said "Use only in a well ventilated area" was there for a reason. If you want to still have two working neurons to rub together when you're 80, you need to start following safety procedures when you do stuff like that.

You might get a headache, sinus problems, sick at the stomach...in time it should all pass...breathe good air
