Well he tried a couple of times but when we got to the creek and I saw the sack & bricks I knew what he was up to so I ran just like Forrest Gump. He never could catch me so here I am today.

Well, being Yugoslavian, yes that was a regular occurrence, although we didn't have sacks so he'd tie me to a dead goat. Imagine his anger when I'd continually resurface, attempted drowning was a walk in the park in comparison to being beaten with a wet dead goat, but that's a tale for another day.

No, my father loves me too much to ever hurt me.
If my father ever took me down to the creek, he would show me all of the land (the creek) he bought for me as a gift to invest in.

No, but my grandmother used to put kittens in a sack and throw them in the creek. I hated that old bat.....

Have you ever read the book, "The little engine that couldn't...cause he was a failure just like your father?"
How about "Everyone dies...even Mommy and Daddy."
I recommend them both to you.

I heard that is quite a popular recreation in the former Yugoslavia.
Perfectly normal behaviour for those people.
