When I try to import downloaded clips to make "movies" into windows movie maker, it says it can't find the codec. But the file plays on windows media paleyer and my divx thingy. some one help!!

ummm .. im not sure about movie-maker ... but try the ffdshow codec ... it works on many converting applications ...

did you delete the original sound burner or movie burner ,then open contol panel then devices and run check for new software on the device lists for each device it should be set auto update from the makers but if not reinstall the last version of the device drivers from the list if it argues let it win and accept the newer version now test run a dvd into the dvd drive and the cdrw drives for playability or go to nuisance .com theres answers for computing problems there
