yeah, the best thing that can happen is to cut off all ties if he has no desire to be with you. He is controlling you. You won't move on because you're won't get over him and don't wanna make him made if some other guy is with you when he "checks up" on you. You have friends. If they are good ones, they will help you with any problem you have. Have you tried letting them know how much you would appreciate their help? Maybe being a lil direct will motivate them to try harder to help you. I have ditzy friends myself. You don't need some loser guy that you are too good for to string you along. best of luck!

p.s. it seems like you have one good friend. their advice was helpful and in your best interest. meanwhile the jerk will realize what he lost when you walked away!!!

Stop allowing him to call you! I am in your situation as we speak! Girl, him calling and being friendly is just a way to keep your heart aimed toward him. No one else will ever be able to get you because he is always around pretending to listen to your problems and be your friend.. give the two of you a break for awhile!

You have to ignore his phone calls. That is the only way to move on. What he is trying to do is to make sure that he has you close enough to call you up whenever he wants, but not be your boyfriend... Don't let him do that to you, it will happen as many times as you let it happen...imagine he goes out with you a 3rd time and then leaves again? Basically put, he wants his cake and eat it too...

What I can promise you is that he will call you.... what happens from that point on is up to you....don't let him hurt you..

good luck

you have to ask yourself
by him calling you.....how does it make you feel emotionally after the phone call....
what are you "really" getting from talking to him?
what is he getting from it?
there is a possibility that he enjoys calling you, because he knows, that it's a way to keep you tied to him in some emotional way..........
also...do you see him on occasion for anything, if you know what I mean..
hun, it seems that you have "made yourself" dependent upon this man...
you really do know that it's time to break the chains that bind!
good luck!

TELL HIM TO F*CK OFF UNTIL HE'S READY FOR A REAL RELATIONSHIP.
AND YES, IT'S F*CKING HURTING YOU. THAT MOTHERF*CKER NEEDS TO KNOW HE CAN'T MESS WITH PEOPLE LIKE THAT!
