What injuries have you picked up from doing random things?

I broke both bones in my wrist in two places while falling off a rope swing into a stream.

I tried to vault onto a running horse and missed, basically just slammed my face into the rigging, slid down the side, and went right under the horse. Earned myself a dislocated shoulder and a twisted knee on that one. Twisted both ankles once when jumping on the hood of a car and accidentally jumping off the edge (drunk), and another time when I got bucked off a horse (not drunk though). Twisted one ankle doing a front handspring, and god knows how many other times I twisted that one. Broke my forearm when a horse dumped me into a tree. Broke three fingers when I fell off a roof. Broke my cheekbone while rollerblading. Broke my collarbone getting dumped off a mechanical bull. Too many sprains, dislocations, gashes requiring stitches, and general road rashes to remember at this point, but I got plenty of scars to point at, heh.

How about this one, I have a blister on my lower leg .... a big one, about five inches long by three inches wide .... and I did nothing to get it. I affectionately call it my Blotch and it appeared about twenty years ago, it's a deep blood red colour and gets people all worried. The only time it hurts is when I knock it, like I did the other week when I bounced a television table off it, and it bursts.

I don't think folk believe me when I tell them I haven't suffered a major burn or scald (I think I'd remember something that left a scar that big) or been involved in an accident.

I've had biopsies taken and no Doctor I've asked (about five) has any idea what it is nor why it appeared. So there you are, you can't get more random than suddenly appeared. It's a conversation point.

broke a rib by sitting on the couch. I was 7mths pregnant and I guess my son didn't like the fact I sat down and he started to kick one of his feet connected with a rib and cracked it. Well it was either cracked or broken never was too sure b/c no x-rays could be taken. My Husband took me to the doctor and he said it happends quite often.He's 4 now but when he's older he'll hear all about it.

I'll answer a random one for my hubby. When we were first dating he cracked his head open by just standing up and unfortunatly hitting a low celing fan in a resteraunt. it smaked him right in the back of the head knocked him out. We were 17 at the time so his parents sued the place.

as a 3 year old i put a biro bic pen end up my nose which was lodged, had to go to hopsital.

i had a pallet full of chickens run into me and dislocated my thumb (i worked in a chicken factory for a while on leaving school, a lad pushing the cart of birds ran into me)

dropped a bench on my big toe and had the nail removed when i was 7

jumped on drawing pins bare foot (mum didn't pick up the drawing pins from xmas decorations when i was 8 )

did a superman jump from my bunkbed when i was about 8 and ended up in hospital with a damaged nose

various cuts grazes from climbing, falling into things...im generally a accident waiting to happen

I broke the littlest toe in my right foot falling down the stairs. I was almost (but not quite) grateful for that 'cause my foot jamming into the railing was the only thing that stopped me from falling all the way down.

I chipped bones in my wrist applauding at a concert! Also broke my arm when I rode my bike into a brick wall (not a recommended past-time!!)

i slipped a disc while bending down to pick up a lighter i dropped .. hospitalfor 6months and a week later after coming out i ended up going back in because i sneezed and put it out again ,,

fell over at the weekend... cracked a few ribs.. had a glass or two of wine fell down the curb into puddle.. was funny then, hurts now! :o(
