Have you ever taken a history class??

The Jewish people are a race of people from the middle east. They all shared the Jewish religion. Then they dispersed over a good portion of Europe. They are still Jewish (religion) and Jewish (race) even if they are from Poland.

Well, I'm not Jewish or Polish. I always wondered about that though. Some people who are Pakistani or Iraqi do the same thing when they are asked their nationality, they say Muslim. I guess some people get confused. I just know I'm Black and my religion is Christian.

Because a lot of the time, the religion that they use as thier nationality is the predominant religion of the country. Just look at the countries of the Middle East, most of them are predominantly muslim, so they are considered Muslim countries. Israel is predominantly Jewish, so they are a Jewish state. hope this helps.

Jews are also an ethnic group that originated around present-day Israel. So just like I'm a Celtic Christian that lives in America, they can be Jewish Jews that live in Poland.
