They look uncomfortable. I like either string bikinis or full briefs (granny panties) the best on women.

well one because of the fact that they eliminate panty lines. They also tend to make you feel flirtatious or sexy. I like wearing them when I'm going to be with a guy i think is hot.

Okay I don't always like to where a thong but it really looks nasty if you are going to where a really tight dress, skirt or even pants if you can see the whole outline of your underwear... That is not sexy at all... For everyday use I think and prefer the string bikini... Also, if you do chose to wear a thong it is very rude and down right gross for you to be showing it off above your pant of skirt whether or not you have the body to do so... Sometimes I think that a lot of girls and women today have lost so much class...

The main reason women wear them is because then if you're wearing anything tight like jeans or a skirt or dress pants, you wont show the underwear line, and if you're wearing panties that are covering your whole butt, even if they're so adorable, to other people they think "she's wearin granny panties" and you don't want any one to think that about you! You don't really want people to know what kind of underwear you have on, unless you think they're sexy and a tease, and thongs just so happen to fall under that category.

I say hell no to thongs.. Boy shorts are so much cuter!! I mean to avoid pantie lines (in which some men think is sexy) is why a woman would wear thongs. I wore them at prom, and never will they get the pleasure again..lol

Well, it doesn't really matter what you would like best on them, does it? They will wear what they like and feel comfortable in. Many wear them so as not to show panty lines through their clothes. They aren't uncomfortable for everyone. I don't like them, but many do.

I agree (about the thongs). I don't know why people wear them. A perpetual wedgie? I think not. And most of the time when you don't want people to see your underwear line, the thong just makes it worse. I think they are disgusting.

Ladies wear thongs so you cant see their pantyline from their tight jeans. yes, theyre uncomfortable, but we get used to them.
the main purpose for them , the reason why they were made, was to prevent the lines of the underwear to be seen through pants.

v.p.l.(also know as visible panty line) its when you can see your panties through your pants but if your wearing a thong, then there isnt any cloth for people to see. vpl was glamour's number 1 worst don't.
