Malmsteen is the fastest and best apreggio and sweep player

Van Halen Revolutionized a lot about his style of guitar playing and wrote great music

Steve Vai is amazing at making the guitar not just an instrument but a true art form and taking playing to a whole new level

Joe Satriani set the bar and alot of artists wouldnt be here if it wasn't for him

My answer? There is none. They are all unique and none are better than the others...Anyone who says one is doesn't understand anything about the music they each are playing

I say that:

Yngwie is the best sweep picker along with speed and arpeggios,

Eddie wrote memorable riffs and defiantly took finger tapping to the next level

Steve Vai raised the bar for newer guitarists along with adding a spice to playing. ALL metal guitarists look up to him

Joe Satriani is a lot like Steve vai i think, with the playing skills and just how different they are, they both made playing guitar an art form.
