I shave the area with a disposable razor. Don't go too deep or you'll cut the fabric. Just skim the surface enough to remove the fuzz balls. They actually have electric shavers for this, but the disposables are cheaper.

A sweater stone. It looks like a heavy real stone but it's the weight of a sponge. It's like a loofa for your sweater to get rid of the pills you are talking about. Just drag the stone over the sweaters and it will drag off all the pills. Afterwards, you might was to lift off any balls it created and shake the sweater outsides, to remove any dust that the stone created. It should take you less than 5 minutes a sweater to clean each one and be pleased with the results. I still have my stone since I was a teen, and it still works great when I need to use it.

Buy a lint shaver; it works perfectly and your clothes will look like new again. You just rub it over the surface and it shaves off the lint balls, then you empty the little cup. It's just a few dollars, and runs on batteries.

Eddie Bauer makes a product called a sweater stone and it works fantastic on not only removing fuzzies from sweaters, but from shirts and pants as well. I bought mine a couple of years ago, I did a FROOGLE search and this is what came up:

Good luck, I hope this helps.

you can either use a lint roller (a "stick" with a roll of sticky paper on one end) or one of those lint vacuums. my mom has one and it's basically a tiny vacuum that sucks up most of the lint on your clothing. you could probably find it in most fabric stores, like Jo-Anns or Hobby Lobby.

Use a razor!! You can try those lint removers with the peel off sheets too, but the razor will get off what the other won't.
Good Luck!!
