If you are with the person who left their previous union for you - do you trust them? Do you feel they trust you?

I am with someone who left his ex, but it happens that he was already sleeping in a spare room long before I came along. However, since we got together and he moved out (on his own), I do have trust issues with him. I can't bring myself to have him reside with me and don't know if I will get there just because I don't want to make him mental with my insecurities. I know it has everything to do with his situation when we started dating though.

I have a good friend who is married to someone who cheated on the first wife; he has been wonderful and worships and respects her and shows no indication of ever straying. His first marriage was pretty bad and he had his reasons for what he did, not that I can justify it for someone else. He's pretty forthcoming about the affair and his feelings about it. I think each argument has its points- some people may just be cheaters. Others may not.

I couldn't trust anyone who would cheat on their significant other. Would you trust having a pit bull that killed his previous owner? I look at cheaters like any t*rds you find left in a public toilet. They may be different shapes, sizes, and colors, but they all stink.

I am currently the "mistress" and i don't think i could ever trust him if we were in a serious relationship.. he has cheated, lied and doesn't love her, i wouldn't want to be in the other position...
