can you play computer software using a CD-RW drive? What about a cd burner?

Yes to both questions. They are just as good as CD-Drives on a computer, you can install programs from them and play audio Cd's, but you have the added advantage of being able to save mp3 files to them, use them for backups and store your favourite pictures(scanned or taken by digital cameras).
