i use my phone frequently but recently i have been receiving calls from a man who i don't know. i insist that hes got the wrong number but he starts making comments down the phone. does anyone know what i could do without having to change my number?

this person calls with their number withheld. so you wouldnt know whos calling and friends call withheld sometimes - but zac u wouldnt have a problem because no one wants to call you.

Yes - Phone your service provider and ask them to put a block on the number as your recieving haraasment. If it continues from other numbers contact the police and they will sort it out. I had to do this a few years ago to stop irritating phone calls from a particularly unpleasant individual.
