It sounds as if Pharmacy school isn't what you really want. Don't feel bad, most college students change their majors more than three times!

Make a list of what you love and then find out how a career in business can match up with your interests. Most people who are HAPPY, successful, and do well financially are people who enjoy their jobs.

Don't do something just because it is secure. There are plenty of secure fields out there...you just need to find the perfect match for you.

If this is your first year, you can probably use the classes you have already taken to fill in general ed. requirements.

If you were one of my students, I would tell you to go talk to someone in the career counseling office, as well as someone high up in the business department. (Ask your friends who they respect and trust for advice.) Make an appointment...treat it almost like an interview situation...be formal, take notes, bring questions.

See if you can arrange a summer job, internship, or shadow programs in a variety of business fields.

Good luck with your quest!

Don't do pharmacy then. The job really isn't for everyone. I've been suggesting people volunteer at a pharmacy to see if they really want to do it, because it really does not appeal to a lot of people.

Yes, the job security and pay is attractive, but if you utterly hate your job, you may not be there for long. Then, you've just wasted 4 years and a ton of money.

Otherwise, I really wouldn't worry too much about the chem part. This stuff's not supposed to be easy, but you can make it through it seems like. I can't believe you did Ochem in high school. That's pretty impressive. Still, it goes back to you not liking the job and going crazy. My sister volunteered just to make sure she wanted to do it and she did go crazy after 2 weeks.

organization majors with BS levels can replace into get right of entry to-point bankers, loan loan officers, entrepreneurs, sales reps, and those sorts of issues. Pharmacy graduates (and that's an prolonged application, 6 years minimum) would be pharmacists in the two retail shops or hospitals. The call for for pharmacists is intense. The get right of entry to-point jobs would contain weird and wonderful shifts, yet much less return and forth than the organization individuals would could bear. interest secure practices is extra effective in pharmacy because of the fact often you are able to make a mistake to get fired. you don't get "downsized" interior the wellbeing care section that oftentimes.

Dont just settle for something because you want to take the easy way out.
If pharm is something you are really interested in, seek tutoring and put forth the effort.
If pharm is not something you can see yourself doing, but are not sure what you want to do, you can become undeclared and take classes in subjects that seem interesting to you.
Talk to your advisor and see what they suggest.
But if you think the job would be boring and drive you crazy, maybe its not the best choice for you. Plenty of careers offer job security.
good luck! :)
