They invariably turn into a screaming match - or at least, the typed equivalent thereof. Personally, I feel quite strongly about my beliefs, but I never felt the need to slander the beliefs of others to justify or promote my own. Especially considering different points of view can be represented respectfully, the bickering is entirely unproductive.

Well, I think going to the Religious and Spirituality section is a mistake (if that's where you met up with the grouchies). There, everyone is just trying to voice their opinion. Here, in polls , we generally find everyone get along because no one is trying to prove their own beliefs to be correct. But, yah, fighting about religion is like acid in my eyes.

It is a touchy subject. In work ethics thats one of the taboo discussions along with sex and race relations. I dont do religion based on that fact. If you're one thing and a person is another, there is sure to be a heated debate on which one is better. Its like guys in a locker room talking about whose tool is bigger.

It's a touchy subject. If everyone agreed on religion, there wouldn't be so many different ones. And people feel very strongly about it, so a lot of emotions show through.

isn't funny...its because something is so personal too them they are passionatly involved but you always see them judging you in return when you don't agree...guess what..god..says...do not judge those around you.

Thank goodness I am not religious anymore. That stuff messes with your head.
