Futurama did not do too well when they were showing new episodes on Fox, so it was cancelled. However, like Family Guy, it has found new popularity on the Cartoon channel and is being resurrected.
Futurama is supposed to make some 4 new DVDs this year, and return to television with new episodes (the DVDs chopped into 16 or so episodes) in 2008, starring the original cast. Comedy Central will be the new network syndicating the older episodes and airing the newer ones.

I guess they couldn't think of anything new for it, so they cancelled new stuff before people started hating it (The fans, I mean, not people generally).
However, it's still on Sky because it was so popular. Whatever the case, those episodes would only be re-runs of oldies.
By the way, does ANYBODY know why Rocko's Modern Life got pulled (In the UK specifically..... unless it's totally off the air everywhere else....?)

i love it too, but sadly it will always been see as 'that other cartoon by the guy who invented The Simpsons'. maybe it would have stood a better chance had it not been constantly compared to the Simpsons....
