Did anyone else find themselves getting real annoyed at Holden after a while? I really started to get aggravated at his constant complaining and how he did not like anyone/anything...did anyone else get that feeling?

Salinger was aware that Holden's constant whining and complaining would get on readers' nerves after a while. but Salinger wanted to present a believable character and teenagers, let's face it, are often pretty whiney and complaining.
Besides, at the end, when you find out exactly what "The Catcher in the Rye" means and what happens to Holden, he wins back a lot of the sympathy and attraction that he lost by his behavior before.
Holden has to be annoying - I mean, he IS a teenager.

A lot of my friends got this, they hated his character and tired of his moaning. (personally i think holden is exactly like all of them)

To the contrary, i enjoyed his character the whole way through and related to his complaints.
