I have been advised by several people to do this but a friend went to a Microsoft forum and saw where a guy did this unsuccessfully and when he tried to re-install Vista, it wouldn't work.

I have been using Microsoft Vista and Firefox 2.2 and love this new computer and operating system, change happens and we need to adjust. One of the things I done was add a ram boast to my system using 2GB USB pen.
Give the Vista OS a good try before you try to put XP back as your OS.

I did by formating the hard drive then installed xp I couldn't activate it then I formated again and installed vista. which I am not crazy about.
