Lemon and salt are supposed to be natural antiseptics so they should kill the bacteria in your throat. It may not taste or feel as pleasant, but it will do the main job of killing off the bad bacteria.

I have no idea. Instead, I'd recommend something I do know about and have had experience using. I call it 'swamp water' because it doesn't look very nice, but it's really boiled gingerroot water with honey. Sip it slowly. It's strong. It works beautifully, too.

Buy some gingerroot at the grocery store. Wash it and slice it fairly thin. Put it a pan so the gingerroot covers the bottom of the pan in at least one layer and cover this with water up to about 3" deep. Put it on the stove to boil. Once it boils, turn the heat down and let it simmer for about 20 minutes. Stir it a few times if you think about it. Turn off the heat and let it steep about 10 minutes. Stir well. Strain out the gingerroot pieces and stir in some honey to taste. Honey is also a natural antibiotic, so don't sweeten anything with sugar when you have a cold/sore throat/ etc. This works best hot but also is effective when cold. Keep your 'swamp water' in the fridge and heat some to drink from time to time.

The taste isn't the best, but one never decides to take medicine because it tastes good!

I would think best not to mix the combination unless you are using it to gargle.

Normal saline is a natural treatment for healing as used by surgeons on an open wound before closing.

Many otorhinolaryngologists (Ears, nose throat) recommend saline mixed with a small amount of baking soda in a quart of water to irrigate your nostrils to remove bacteria. Another product that is recommended is called "Simply Saline." You can use this product as often as you wish and the more you use it, the better chance you have to remove the bacteria. I recommend this highly.

Best wishes.

I would recommend instead that you get a mug, pour about 2 tablespoons on honey in the bottom, then pour a 100ml of white vinegar and then 4 tabespoons of lemon juice, then fill the rest of the mug with boiling water, stir it hepas till it all disovles and then drink it clowly once its cooled a bit (still warm). It will sting a bit for the first few mouthfulls. After you have finished it all, swallow one tablespoon of honey in one go. That usually works wonders for me.
