Anything you wouldn't do in front of your partner. Or anything you wouldn't want your partner to do behind your back, you shouldn't do it behind their back either.

Obtaining something you did not work for --with deceit involved somehow.
I also consider cheating going out with someone else when you are in love and committed to a person--- or doing anything without their knowledge that might hurt them or your relationship. This is a breech of trust -- one of the most important things in a loving relationship. I could never do this to the man I love.

Being unfaithful to your mate. To me cheating isn't just having sex with another person other than your mate but doing things behind their back that you know are wrong. This is something that I will never do to the one I love.

I think you need to clarify in what sense so that the answers can be more specific.
Cheating in general however means to gain personal advantage which is not permitted to all parties or within the allowable limits of certain situations. It goes against the written or understood rules.

Cheating happens when you're in a serious, one-on-one relationship with someone. It includes any form of suggestive behavior that makes YOUR PARTNER uncomfortable. If it's troubling to your partner, then it needs to be addressed.

In my opinion 2 ppl that are in a committed relationship should not even be with a person of opposite sex alone that puts yourself in a position to get hit on
