interesting, a lot of Buffalonian answers I see....I suspect people who do not know hockey or are little snot nosed kids whose parents don't have a clue what they are doing on the internet

...but whatever....

I like Vermette, he is fast , has a big shot and can make nice plays....

I'd be curious to see what kind of hate mail I'd get if I said Alexei Yashin, but I guess I have to choose from current Senators. Since I hate the Sens, it is a tough choice for me, but I would pick Mike Fisher for my team any day if I was a GM.

So, the answer is: Mike Fisher

Addendum: Reading other responses, I want to say that I live two hours away from Ottawa, in Canada. I will not state my team allegiance here, but I agree with the responder who said that he is a HOCKEY fan which is why I chose Mike Fisher. Great face-off man, fast skater, good puck-handler, does not mind going into the corners and taking/giving hits, and does so regardless of his team's outlook. He plays hard if his team is winning 7-0, or if they are losing by that same score. Anyway, I thought I should add that since it seemed many believed me to be a Buffalonian.

As much as I hate the Senators (I'm a Sabres fan..), my favorite players are Jason Spezza and Dany Heatley. They are both great players, and I wish the Sabres had them. But that's about all I know because.. well I'm not a Sens fan.

I'm a Devil Fan (I have to mention it everytime I talk about another team hehe) but a hockey fan as well. In my opinion, Daniel Alfredsson is my favorite Senator. He is a great captain, no matter who says he is not. He is always bringing his team to the playoffs and becoming a threat everytime. This guy racks up stats for himself that are simply astounding, and still brings his team to a decent record and a respectable position in the playoffs. Spezza is great, I admit it. Hell, the guy is incredible and these two make one crazy solid team. Alfredsson is my favorite though, I have more respect for him because he has done more for his respective team. My advice is watch out for both of them, they will ALWAYS be a challenge in the NHL, together or seperately, no matter.

None! Your coach sounds like a sissy with his girl lipse talking and Neil is a punk! Barely beat Buffalo with 8 starters out and a bunch of call ups from their farm club. Only reason you won the second game was a bad bounce off the boards! OTTAWA BLOWS!

I hate Ottawa as much as any Buffalonian, but you'd be stupid to not want Dany Heatly on your team if given the chance.
