The best option (I did this 1994 Chevy) Is to install a multiple disc changer under your seat that operates through your factory radio. My was a extended cab so I mounted the changer under the rear jump seat. I ran a power wire under the carpet to the fuse block and mounted the CD remote controller right under the factory radio in a panel blank. (newer CD controls models might be wireless) It works through the exisiting factory radio tuned to a FM station. A FM modulator is installed inline with the existing antenna plug near the rear of the radio. I went to a local car stereo installation place and the workers there gave me plenty of free advice. I even upgraded the speakers in the dash with better models. The speaker grills pop right off and the speakers are held in with a couple of screws. Total installation time was about 2 hours. Good Luck

well it depends on wut u wanting,if u just want a am,fm cd player then u can got to ur local audio store or walmart and find a adapter wiring harness which will connect to ur factory wiring harness to aftermarket cd players then all u do is read the handy guid to show u which wire hooks to wut or you can usually just match wire colors (not always)but even with this said they usually have it written or taped on the wires,
yellow=battery
red=ignition
black=ground
blue w/white stripe=remote wire
gray,and gray w/black stripe= front speaker (+and-)left or right cant remember for sure
white,and white w/black stripe= front speaker
purple,and purple w/black stripe= rear speaker
green, and green w/black stripe= rear speaker
that is to the best of my knowlegde with out looking but it should be close if u have ne other questions u can email me and i will help or u can look at the wire guide.
also if u have a orange wire it usually is illumination hope this helps
