How do so many women have so much self esteem?

Not that they shouldn't. It's just that a lot of women have been through a lot whether it be rape, molestation. domestic violence, or just people saying mean things to them. And even if they haven't been through any of those things, my point is that they have so much self esteem. They don't hesitate to tell you that they think they're beautiful and pretty. How do they get that kind of self esteem?

Well, for me it's because I've been through sh*t. I had no self confidence, my mother was an alchoholic, my sister cut herself, and our house (mostly due to my mother) was f**king disgusting. Diphus got involved and my sister saw a therapist, got better, and my mother is in recovery.
I gained confidence, I think, because I realized how horrible things were before, and how me thinking negative things didn't help anything. I guess I was just determined not to let things become crap again.

And that's my story.

I think that they think they are really nice and nothing is wrong with them, but like me, my self esteem is realy law, because sometimes I look at the mirror, and I think by my self that there is something wrong with me,
