I am not sure about where and California you live . . . BUT I have lived in New England all my life. I love it. I live just down the road from Gray literally in Cumberland near the Gray line. Its very convenient to Portland. Which is Maine's biggest city. So don't feel like you are moving to the sticks. It is a slower pace in life but one that I enjoy. And if you are a single parent its a wonderful area for children. You will be conveniently located to the mountains and the ocean. 2 hours from Boston. Its really great. I hope that you like it. And I can also tell you that I am also a single parent and made a move from one state to another it gave me a great deal of independence and it all worked out for the best in my case I hope it does for you too.

Maine is a beautiful place to live, outside of the winters. I travel there from time to time just to see the lighthouses and the ocean. And I'm from upstate NY. If you are into history, Main has awsome attractions and I think the harbors are cool around Bangor. You wouldn't regret moving there. It's a peaceful place.

Wow, it is somewhat remote. I have some rentals for hunts,
fishing, skiing, and farms. I like skowhegan, wilton, that south
section beyond augusta. In this situation there is so much to
offer on cape cod to californians. The massachusetts 2 hour
drive is worth a look. The farm in cape cod is best grapes,
berries, fruits, sort of a strong koolaid option. Maine is a bit spare, though depends, we have truckers go up there. Family is
a wonderful point, and Maine is traditionally good folks.

Southern coast in the journey that they do no longer have jobs will be extra appropriate. Wells, ME, for instance, is a lengthy commute to Boston, yet ought to nevertheless be performed in a pinch for jobs. stay remote from the "ports", those are the parts of the cities that are closer the water, and hence extra intense priced. for instance KennebunkPORT is particularly intense priced, Kennebunk is truly lifelike. Biddeford lifelike, Biddeford Pool isn't. So on etc. Portland, ME is a tremendous city, and it really is a small city so no concerns. as a lot as they'd want a small city, they're going to favor jobs. ME isn't an decrease priced position to stay. they ought to worst state tax burden interior the US. In particular places, there is in effortless words employment interior the summer, throughout season. notwithstanding, i love it. it really is quaint and picturesque. the individuals have continually been very awesome. as a count number of truth, it really is my next provide up (Portland section). Oh, an afterthought. Have them inspect bathtub, ME besides. there's a large deliver backyard there. it type of sounds like a tremendous city, no longer too a recommendations north of Portland.
