I hit it on a metal door. Is it broken or sprained?

Hard to tell if broken or sprained but my concern is about your finger turning blue. This would indicate severe bruising to the extent that it may be causing a restriction of blood flow thus reducing oxygen to your finger. Go see a doctor immediately.

GO TO THE ER! If it's blue it's not getting blood ( or just seriously bruised or broken). Either way it should not wait, or you might have permanent problem with that finger.

If it was just swollen, ice would be ok. But turning blue is not normal. Go to the ER now!

I took an antibiotic (prescribed by Urgent Care doctor) for 10 days & my finger is back to normal.

No, the bones are just out of alignment. Go to the doctor and he will put your finger back into proper shape and it will feel so much better.

GO to the doctor already!!!

These symptoms are much too serious for anyone to tell you what to do, much less be able to do anything for you.

You need a doctor, probably an x-ray. If these symptoms continue you may find yourself needing surgery.

Hard to tell if it's broken without an x-ray. Either way, you should ice it down, take an anti-inflammatory, and immobilize it. If you suspect a break, see you doc.
