Its time for political correctness to end WORLD WIDE!

Look at the fotos in the link below.

The fact that these people come from countries where dissent against the government is grounds for long imprisonment must be largely lost on these ignorant, clueless, ungrateful wretches.

The time has come not only for political correctness to end in the UK, but also in the U.S.A. PC behavior is a huge barrier to getting to the root of problems. We can never accuse any group of stupidity or laziness anymore because it is viewed as ethnic or racial hostility. Well, if these people truly are lazy, apathetic, or dumb, why can't we call a spade a spade?

Guess what percent of black high school males in Baltimore, Maryland graduate? Are you guessing 82%? 72%?, well how about only 23%! Even "Vietnamese Boat People" (typical reference to poor immigrants with no grasp of English language upon arrival) do better than this! Could we please, maybe just say these students need to actually crack open a book once in a while, or am I being racist by suggesting they need to study?

political correctness is crazy, there is a need to respect peoples thoughts and feelings but the state of political correctness at the moment is presenting the problem of opposite and positive discrimination as well as the reduction of right to speak as people are afraid to say things that are true. Real offensive speech is wrong but there are a lot of now un-pc words which are not offensive
it is also stupid how a simple thing can now be given a huge description to dodge the subject. i always like the the domestic refuse disposal engineer - answers on a postcard if you know what they really are, but you cant call them that as an old man in croydon may get offended by it.

Rant over, political correctness has gone too far. it is a British right to insult people and get insulted back as long as its not vicious. Real Brits know how to give and how to take it back and no subject should be shyed away from, that would distroy our culture

Many people fear the term political correctness as it was used in a similar format by a speaker in America addressing a KKK meeting. In that format it was deliberately applied against people who were objecting to 'white rule'. Apologies as I cannot recall the speaker's name nor the precise date but it was during the civil rights era I think.

The term has been adapted and come to mean an over bearing bureaucratic nonsense where individuals or groups decide what the feelings of others are without even consulting widely for actual opinions.

A good example would be the assumption that Muslims are offended by the idea of a Christain festival at Christmas. In one N.E town it was decided to return/rename it as a winter festival(also attempted in Birmingham I believe) as it is an historical fact that the original date was a traditional Pagan festival.

People may be aware that others celebrate Christmas from the 6th of January, this being regarded as the actual birthday of Jesus in some Holy literature.

In that sense PC is very harmful to our society because it seeks to attack peolpe's underlying security which is built around 'common accepted myth'.
It is very often the grey areas that allow us to rub along together.

By attributing the idea that Muslims might be offended these people seek to shift the 'blame' onto another group when it is their own agenda we should all be concerned about.
I am of the opinion that these people wish to undermine a sense of Britishness and common values that all people of whatever background/faith/colour can ascribe to.

Is it a conspiracy? Haven't a clue there, but there are obviously a lot of like minded people in positions of authority in local councills around the country.

It is unfortunate that the words Political correctness are apparently meaningless to some individuals.
The rest of us, only too well, realise the stilting, inhibiting effect the practise of it has on society.
The growth of this small minded 'jobs-worth' practice is almost certainly correlative with the growth of litigation inherited from the 'States.
Anyone defending this must be a lawyer or a Labour councillor.

if its time in the UK then its past time in the USA. I get so sick of it i could scream. Everybody just got touchy feely and I just dont know when it happened, These days you simply cannot voice an opinion without risking offfending someone. At risk of a violation notice I will tell you that in very recent years our beloved Disney World had gay and lesbian day. THat blew my mind but of course its not politically correct to voice an opposing viewpoint on such delicate matters. and this nonsense occurs in other topics. I heard that some group wanted our US football teams to change some of their team names because they were offensive to Native Americans. I dont know how bad it is over there but I agree totally about it being time for it to end.

The proble with Political correctness is down to those who interpret it incorrectly. Some common sense is what is needed, but are we ever likely to get that with people in government, local or otherwise.

It should end, as it only breeds a lot of hatred between different cultures in a country. People don't take to kindly to have their views suppressed by government legislation

Yes, to end - period. You can't enforce good manners and p.c. is now being used by those with bad manners to limit the speech of those they disagree with.

"Racist" is a powerful term, but is often used incorrectly. People will say you are "racist" if you don't like illegal immigration. Has nothing to do with race.

For a good laugh you might want to pick up a copy of "Politically Correct Nursery Rhymes" - pretty good.
