I'm with Vodafone at the moment, but Virgin are offering a better deal. I've never had any problems with V/f, but Virgin seems alot cheaper.

:Virgin are very good if you're making calls during peak hours because the rate is 15 pence for each of the first 5 minutes and then 5 pence for each minute for the rest of the day.
This obviously means that you never need to think about what time it is (peak or off-peak).
Virgin also have the same rate to call other Virgin phones.
It's best to buy your phone from Virgin because you can ring them and ask for your phone's unlocking codes and they will send them free of charge, provided that you've spent £30 on calls.
Lot better than other networks who practically send the Heavy Mob round if you try to leave.
As other people have said:- Virgin uses T-mobile
network,so if one's OK then so is the other.
As Michael Caine said: "Not a lot of people know this:a Virgin SIM card will work in a T-mobile phone".
Here's another couple of points:
Virgin don't charge for voicemail
And for 10 pence you can talk all day to their support staff.
AND they laugh at your jokes!!!
Are you listening Mr Branson? Am I getting Brownie Points for all this?
I still have seven of your phones even though you didn't reply to my letter when I told you to to get shot of the supercilious gay mafia who ran British Rail Restaurant and Buffet Cars when you went into the train business!:-)

Virgin Mobile use T-Mobile's transmitters. There are some great phones on Virgin Mobile like the Lobster 700tv, its a windows smartphone with a dab radio, music player, tv. Last year for 3 months they had free texting from Virgin to Virgin.

virgin is great if you are calling or txting other virgin mobiles but not that good to call other networks also they dont have a100% network coverage i used to have them and lost connection loads of times ,, i changed to 02 which is a lot better on pay as you go you get loads of bonuses ie 10 % of each top is credited back to you each quarter also every £10 you top up you get 100 mins anytime free

It's very good in the UK. I've even had a signal walking across the moors. Also very cheap, I've always found the online help and the phone help pretty good too.
I actually have 3 phones registered with them, mine, my son's and my hubby's

The signal is backed by Tmobile, so if Tmobile is strong in your area, you`ll be ok. As for the customer services i have heard they are not too good, so they may be cheaper but the service is poorer.
