In a recent test made by the BBC (British Broadcasting Corporation) Wikipedia came first in an Online Encyclopedia test, beating even the Encyclopedia Britannica online! Wikipedia received four out of five and was noted as being quite accurate and up to date with the times. As a matter of fact, Wikipedia can be edited very quickly, so as Encyclopedia Britannica 2006 will show Gerald Ford as being alive and well, the updated Wikipedia article will state him as deceased and that will have been added from the day of his death.

Hope this has helped,

S.O.

People can easily change the information posted on Wikipedia, but the people who work with Wikipedia go through the pages to make sure that there is reference and that the information posted is correct. If there isn't a reference listed, the information will be removed.

I'm not sure if people can change the information, but they will not guarantee the accuracy of the information they post.
