My wife had medical conditions that caused the same problem. We didn't want to sleep apart. She had a surgery that the doctor said might help, but it didn't. She tried those nose strip things and that didn't work either. We found the simple cure was for me to wear a pair of those foam ear plugs used for shooting guns(you can buy them at Walmart in the sporting goods section). They are a little uncomfortable the first couple of nights, but they work great and you'll get a good nights sleep. The only drawback is hearing an alarm clock in the morning. My wife had to wake me up when it went off, but she gladly did so to be able to sleep as a married couple.

Well my husband snores and I have tried everything. Do not waste time buying those snore treatments like the thingies you put over your nose (Breathe Right strips) or the lozenges. They don't work. Usually if he starts snoring, he is laying on his back. I know this sounds mean but I roll over and pinch his nostrils shut. It wakes him up just enough for him to stop and roll over on his side so he no longer snores. I did tell him about this and he just laughs. I guess you could sleep in separate rooms if you needed too, but I just cannot sleep alone.

ummmmmmm I remember when I was a kid everyone in the house would FORCE themselves to get to sleep before dad did because of his snoring...I would literall ROCK the house...do you know how hard it is trying to go to sleep at 7:00pm? But it was the only way we could sleep. First of all if he is a beer drinking that may be causing it. If he is overweight he needs to loose weight, snoring is a symptom of overweight apnea, You can try breath right strips as well as a cold mist humidifier in the bedroom...if all else fails stuff a dirty gym sock in his mouth...LOL

you may need to sleep in separate rooms, wear ear plugs, or if it's quite serious have the snorer go to a doctor to see if it can be helped...breathe right nose strips may help or it may take something more complex like a breathing machine (for sleep apnea) to keep the snoring away...

If you roll him (I assume it's a him) over on his side, does he stop? Try it...

Seek medical help. My hubby snored because he had sleep apnia (stops breathing because his throat was closing up on him when he slept). Now it's bliss no snoring in your earhole trying to sleep.

1. When he snores, turn him over to his side

2. If he is overweight, he should lose weight

3. Try "no snore strips"

There are some over the counter remedies. You should have them try some and see if they work for them. Ask the pharmacist which ones are best.
