I recently removed the game from my computer. now when i try to re-load it it doesnt work properly. i can get into the main screen but nothing saves and the map looks funny. Could it be the disk is too scratched? i have no custom content. It says that I dont have permission to access the program.

Ive had this happen, unistall the game and any other sims games u got and make sure that u delete any custom content that u have downloaded before hand, clean the disc with a cotton cloth and reinstall (don't bother to subscribe) click subscribe later, when its loaded go on a site like thesims2.ea.com, down load all the patches you need for whatever games you got, they are free to download and they stop any bugs and things you might have, good luck :)

Our first Sims 2 became a kit which got here with Sims 2, Nightlife and BonVoyage --- much greater cost-effective as a kit set then figuring out to purchase the three one by one. Sims 2 is a calming and addictive sport!

just a quick question for you, are you trying to use a no-cd executable? if so most of those for the sims 2 are bogus and really bug the game up, if not then try to reinstall it and also use directX diagnosis to see if all of your drivers are working properly, and also try to install the newest graphics card / sound card drivers for your hardware and if all else fails try using smarty uninstaller

as this will completely destroy all data connected to the sims 2 in case you have some errant program files that are not uninstalling when you try to reinstall it

never played it but:

look at the manual properly and see what your doing wrong.

install the latest drivers for your graphics card and install latest direct X.

if all else fails call the helpline.
