and how long is one term as mayor??

New Jersey has the same system as the US Constitution for terms of its governor as for the President. You can be elected for two consecutive four years terms in a row.

As far as mayors are concerned, most of the big cities- Newark, Jersey City, Trenton, etc. have four year terms. Jersey City is term limited I believe, Newark is not.

one term for governor of NJ is 3 year, and mayor depends on the city.
