I recently lost a bet with a group of friends. As a result, I have to grow a moustache for 1 year starting today. Never grew any type of facial hair before. But, I'm 23 and can grow a decent stache - but just looking for advice from other stache wearers - grooming tips, etc. Thanks.

I had to wear a mustache once for a modeling job.

Remember to keep it trimmed using a beard trimmer. Also don't forget to regularly shape its borders with your razor for a clean cut image.

Just let it grow, then trim off uneven hairs as it grows in well. I have had one for years and usually only trim it weekly to keep it neat, you may find you need to use the razor around the edges beside your nose, depends on where facial hair comes in.

Well this is a very hard question to answer. But if your like I was and it sounds like it, it could stilll just take time. I couldn't grow a nice one til late 20's and finally could get the gotee going. 41 now and it's all there. At your age I was thinking the same thing you are.
If it's a bet your just going to have to go with what you have, there is no miracle growth thing.....sorry.

Just shave everything else. Also, keep it trimmed off your lips. If you think you look good with stubble, go for it. But, try different lengths & see which gets you the most compliments. Remember, different people like different looks, so go with what YOU enjoy. After all; it's your face!
