probably 4. some have 3.

some had 1 wire and some had a heated o2 sensor which was a 4 wire sensor

4, one is the heater circuit, one is computer voltage , one ground and one signal return to the computer. usually 2 white 1 gray and 1 black

if it has a vortec 5.7 there should be a 4 wire unit

Most of these only have one wire, purple in color.
