No, because wood is not a good conductor of electricity. Also, it might make more sense to use a branch instead of a limb, as it would be easier to handle.

No.....definatly not. The DC current produced by a cell phone battery is NO WHERE NEAR the amount of current necessary for you to even feel even the slightest discomfort even with your hand wrapped around an exposed battery submerged in a bucket of saltwater let alone a freshwater pool. It is not advisable though due to the fact that your cell phone will probably be worthless afterwards (and your provider will charge you OUT THE *** to replace it). ...........Intresting side note though......my NOKIA has survived several "pool related inceidents" as well as falling 70ft onto a hard-wood floor

No, because the power source is DC and very low power. Electrocution takes a lot of voltage and current and you'll only get that from AC. This was one of the fundamental arguments against AC that Thomas Edison made in favor of his DC system. He even electrocuted an elephant to death, just to prove his point.

No. My son went into a dunk tank and forgot his cell phone in his pocket. I know pretty stupid but he's fine. Sorry to say the phone didn't make it though.

as long as the phone is NOT plugged in a wall socket or any other piece of external equipment that is plugged into a wall socket then you are safe.
