In the meantime, friends of the boy get involved in a clash, and Mercutio, who is Romeo's best friend is killed by Tybalt a family member (Cousin) of Juliet. Lover boy feels anger, responsibility, and really wants revenge for the death of his friend Mercutio because his friend was defending Romeo's honor due to the fact that Romeo refused to fight Tybalt the cousin of his lover girl, and Mercutio, didn't want Romeo to be thought of as a wuss, so Mercutio fought Tybalt. Tybalt kills Mercutio Romeo's friend. Then Romeo kills Tybalt and is banished for his crime. Lover girl is heart sick, wants lover boy back where she is so that they can be together. They secretly marry. Father of lover girl has arranged for her to marry a wealthy man of his liking, and doesn't understand why his ungrateful daughter is acting out. He knows nothing of her already being married, the only one who does, is the priest and lover girls servant, and nures maid. Juliets father insists she go through with his choice for her or get away and no longer be his daughter. She talks with the priest who helps her arrange a fake suicide, with a potion that was to make her like dead, but not. She sends a letter to lover boy telling him about her plan to fake her death soo that the two of them can get together afterwards and live as man and wife. Lover boy doesn't get the letter by mistake, and believes she's really dead. Finds her at her burial tomb, and mortally wounds himself not wanting to live without her, but just as lover girl is awakening from the effect of the potion, she sees him dying, is grief stricken, and kills herself. So ends the tale of Romeo and his Juiliet, "For never was there a story of more woe, than this of Juliet and her Romeo."
Check out Baz Luhrman's modern day movie Romeo and Juliet with Claire Dane and Leonardo Dicaprio. It's off the chain.
