He goes to my school but we're not in any classes but we're in the same P.E class...we never had a conversation together...

if you have not talk to him, definitly find out some stuff about him. Most importantly..does he have a girlfriend or a crush or some other girl.
cuz you wouln't want to throw ur heart out at him then find out that he does a gf & what not ya know?
hm..just start a random convo or say hi to him more often and eventually maybe you guys will start talking more.
and the rest can go on from there :]

make it your business to walk by him smile and say hello, try get friendly with his group of friends so then you have something in common also after you have made your face known to him you can strike up a conversation with him about who is doing what in the P.E class or what things you have in common don't what ever you do stalk him or you will be known as a bunny boiler.....best of luck!!!

Start by saying hello!! That will at least motivate him to acknowledge you the next time you see each other. Ask how he's doing and how he likes PE. Movies, music, other topics?? Try that.

First find out if he likes some one / has a gf
after that in p;e class get close to him and be loud,... so he will notice you.... and if he likes you the you will notice him coming close to you... from there move on....
