I am thinking of buying a new washer and dryer. First time buyer, and have no idea what to do.
I am looking for something in $1500 range (for both). Need suggestions on any brands, warranties, front load vs old fashion, electricity and water efficient, where to buy-- discounts and rebates are always a plus.

Or just tell me what you have, and if you like it or not. Thank you a bunch!

we bought the whirlpool duet electric washer and dryer front loader. I love them. No comparison to the top loader. Clothes aren't tangled when they come out and you use less water and detergent than with a top loader. It is supposed to be easier on the wear of the clothing also.

maytag sucks!! my dryer is only 2 years old, already had
a service guy in because it wasn't heating . turned out to be
2 coils.. they were under warranty, but the service charge
was $170. the dryer was always squeeking really loud too for
a minute or 2, then it would stop, they couldn't find anything wrong. its still squeeking loudly every day.. waiting for the
piece of garbage to die already.
