c-average, Varitek does not have much power and does not run. He could give you some runs and RBIs.
1b-excellent, many leagues have him #1 overall in their drafts.
2b-pretty good, looks like Phillips can give you decent numbers for a 2b.
3b-below average, unless he rebounds and has a good year. He plays in a big ballpark, so he may not get many HRs. I would split time between he and Ensberg (whoever is hot at the time).
ss-below average, only because he is still a rookie. He could do well, or struggle mightily.
of-excellent. You have HRs and RBIs covered with Manny, Vladdy, and HRs and some SBs with Jones and Byrnes.
util-average-see my comments on 3b for Ensberg (platoon him w/Beltre), and Gordon is a rookie.
bench-poor. Scour the waiver wire after a couple of weeks, then get rid of them both. Get another ss and another c.
sp-above average. Schmidt and Bonderman will give you wins, and Schmidt and Hernandez will give you Ks.
rp-above average. Good choices both, especially Ryan.
p-average. Colon is an uncertainty, Haren could be pretty good, or pretty bad. Jenks is a good extra closer to have. I would give Colon 3-4 starts, then re-evaluate him on your team.
bech-average. It could be above average, but two of the guys here were hurt last year (Isringhausen and Mulder), and Blanton can be inconsistent. Overall, I would look for some more hitting depth at c and 2b, and maybe a couple of new relief pitchers. Good luck!

7.5

Your outfield is stacked. However, your third and second basemen should be changed. I would consider switching Phillips with Cantu. Phillips looks like he won't get better, but Cantu has elite power for a second baseman and should rebound. Also, Duffy should replace Ensberg. Your lineup has plenty of power already, but needs the speed that Duffy can provide. Also, Colon doesn't look like he'll be ready for the start of the season, so Blanton can replace him. Your spelling needs work, but the rest of your pitching doesn't, it's great. In fact, you might want to trade a closer for a speedster.

i give it a 7.
if you got vlad with the 20th pick, i dont know how your team isnt better then this. your infield is weak (other than pujols obviously), your outfield is pretty stacked but you are still using byrnes and weak utility people.
depending on how many innings your pitchers need, i would trade one of your closers (isringhausen probably) to get another infielder. your starters are pretty good though.

8. You don;t have a lot of speed. But you have enough of heavy hitters. Your pitching is nice.

Not bad. 7.5 to 8. You need steals in a bad way.
