or maybe the word "punk" is dead, but the ideals of individualism and rebellion will never die. so punk will live on in some other label. just my thoughts. i'm tired of being labeled as some loser conformist mallrat when i say declare myself punk.

Punk started to die when the Goo Goo Dolls called themselves punk then it completely was murdered when Good Charlotte and Simple Plan were called punk. If Sid Vicious was alive he would take Joel and Benji Madden and kick the living **** out of them.

Nah. The idea of punk isn't dead, but the term has definitely been reduced to nothingness. Idiots who think they're punk just 'cause they got a mohawk really need to go piss off and thank god most of the original punks are too old to beat the crap outa them. real punk has pretty much been shoved underground, and you hafta look really hard to find it. 's there though. definitely there.
