Hi I am trying to install hardware that came with a new printer I bought today. My computer will not read the cd. I tried installing windows professional two days ago and it would read that cd either... how can I fix this problem, it has always worked for me. Is there anyway to install a printer without a cd?

Try a music CD if it will not read that, go to Control Panel click on "system" .select "hardware" select "device manager" if there
is a question mark next to it try to update the driver.

I fix alot of computers and from the sound of it, I think you may need to replace your CD drive .Quickest and cheapest fix.

You might be able to go on the manufactuers website and download the installer file and do it that way. check the company's website and tell them whats wrong and they may direct you to the file

yes go to the website of the name brand Co and they will have the driver your looking for. But your best bet to do is get a new CD ROM player. For more help please visit this URLhttp://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=002&sspagename=STRK%3AMESE%3AIT&viewitem=&item=120088577956&rd=1&rd=1
