computer startup problem?

when i start my computer i get a error message that has a blue screen and says unmountable_boot_volume does anyone know how to fix this???

lots of things can cause this problem, but my guess would be that your hard drive has lots of bad sectors and needs to be replaced. before you replace it, you could give it one more try by doing a low-level format on it using BooknNuke and then try and format it with windows' setup (fat32/ntfs) and see if it works long enough

you could try doing a virus check\error check...... in safe mode!.....might work
