1. I am in ballet class simply because I love it! It is a huge part of my life and a lot of my close friendships were made in ballet class. Ballet keeps me in EXCELLENT shape and gives me GREAT flexibility. It also gives me something to do everyday after school. I get home from school have a quick healthy snack like yogourt and off I go to dance every day of the week.

2. The importance of ballet to me as a student is not only to keep me in shape but to relax and compete in a positive, healthy environment. I like to do my best and dancing helps me create personal goals for myself which contributes to a healhty way of living. Competing also gives me a rush of exhilaration and makes me love ballet even more.

3. I intend to learn as much as I possibly can and keep my flexibility and strength. That's right I said strength. To all you non-dancers out there who think ballet is twirling around on your tippy toes you are very wrong. It takes dedication and confidence which doesn't come by in every person that often. In the rest of my life, I apply dancing to helping me with everything including a career. I always use my dedication towards dance to help me with others areas of my life, such as getting my homework done. Even though I have a busy dance schedule I always finish up my schoolwork because that is one of my goals. I learned to set goals in ballet class so that has helped me immensly in my life.

I hope everyone reading this joins dance because it is a phenomonal sport and really fun!

Well, I'm not mainly a ballerina but I've had extensive ballet training.Sooooo...
1.I'm in ballet classes because I have horrible technique (not deep-I'm getting there)! I love to watch people dance ballet and I want to be there with them.
2.Ballet is important because every other style of dance revolves around it. You have to apply your technique to the other styles. If you are serious about jazz, modern or lyrical, you should focus on proper ballet technique first!
3. Ballet takes a lot of strength. a.Physically-it takes strength to lift your leg above your head! & b.Mentally-to keep going and not give up just when you're tired.

Keep dancing!!!

personally, ballet is really important to me because i really like dancing. one reason i joined it was because i thought it might help my body shape and how i look, and it really did. another thing, you are used to parts in your body hurting or aching, so it wouldnt be a problem in the future.
